FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (February 22, 2005)
13th JUROR SAYS "NOT GUILTY."
Like all of the other jurors in South Carolina v. Pittman. Robbie
Diamond spent two weeks of her life listening to all of the evidence and to
the final arguments of the lawyers. But, unlike the others, she was "ppalled"
at the "guilty" verdict.
She found no evidence whatsoever to overcome the presumption that 12 year olds do not have the "capacity" to form "criminal intent", and she found the evidence linking Zoloft to Chris's actions to be "compelling."
After the verdict, Ms. Diamond initiated contact with Chris's lawyers and shared her concerns with us. The result is the attached affidavit. Ms. Diamond's affidavit is a key attachment to the defense's Second Motion for New Trial, which was filed immediately before this release was posted on our website.
The JusticeSeekers will continue to pursue this and all other
avenues of relief for Chris. Please remember him in your prayers.
